Abdullah Al Zakwani, PhD is an MCBS alumni is an experienced academic and industrial expert in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. He specializes in Intelligent Agent, a core branch of reinforced and unsupervised learning techniques.
He is currently the Executive Director for Research and Innovation for Lamad LLC and Senior Researcher for Taqat LLC, and a visiting lecturer to various universities. Holding a PhD in Mathematics, AI and GIS and has taught as a Senior Lecturer in various Universities in the United Kingdom with long appointment to University of East London as a Head of BSc and MSc Programs and units including Software development, Cyber Security, Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Al Zakwani has a strong background in Mathematics with a focus on Predictive and Statistical models. He has published various high scientific papers which resulted onto consultation to large organizations and his work has been used by NASA, Google, Apple to name a few.

Dr Haider Al Lawati has over 8 years of industrial experience, predominantly within the telecom sector, coupled with over 6 years of academic engagement. He obtained both BScE and MSc in Engineering from Queen’s University, Canada where he specialized in telecom. He obtained his PhD from the esteemed University of Toronto, Canada, where he specialized in artificial intelligence.
Before pursuing his PhD, Haider’s professional journey spanned more than 7 years at Ooredoo Oman, during which he undertook diverse responsibilities, including network planning and leadership role as a department head. After his PhD, Haider worked as postdoctoral fellow at the electrical engineering department, University of Toronto where he collaborated with an industrial partner to conduct cutting-edge research in developing algorithms for distributed and high-performance computing systems along with his research in federated learning.
Besides his industrial involvement, Haider is affiliated with MCBS where he teaches Machine Learning.
